Vision In Silver Vol. 1

It's amazing how this is already the last book for this class. Moving on from the Heroin Diaries onto Vision In Silver was a dramatic change due to the fact that they're vastly different than one another. I can admit that I wasn't very stoked for this book because it doesn't fit the genre I usually read, because it takes me longer to get into. Starting this book was incredibly hard due to the fact that the first couple of chapters were hard to interpret, and I couldn't really catch a glimpse of what was happening besides Meg cutting herself to see visions.
I thought it was insane when it was mentioned that meg can only cut a thousand times before she dies. What makes it even worse is that she's addicted to it. "Addiction was its own reason. That would explain why Meg had chosen a time when Simon Wolfgard and Henry Beargard were away from the Courtyard" (11). She has to feed her addiction when other people aren't watching her who don't want her to cut and especially don't want her to waste the amount of cuts she has left. When she sees visions, it's confusing but it's amazing that a cut can have that type of effect on someone in this book. It's a neat aspect, and builds the foundation for the book.
Although this book is somewhat confusing, I'll find a way to manage. So far, it's interesting and I'm trying to make sense of it all.
